Southwest Las Vegas Overview
The Southwest is the section of the Las Vegas Valley bounded on the east by the I-15 freeway, wrapping past the south Strip corridor and stretching to the Spring Mountains on the west, with the 215 Beltway cutting through its heart and continuing south. Much of it sits in the unincorporated Enterprise area of Clark County, which is why the region's schools, parks and services are county-operated.
The area grew fastest from the late 1990s through the 2000s, and today it holds some of the valley's most established master plans: guard-gated golf communities like Rhodes Ranch, Spanish Trail and Southern Highlands, large build-it-out neighborhood systems like Mountains Edge, and settled corridors like Silverado Ranch.
