service,

Fair housing is not a compliance checkbox in this office. It is the way the practice works for every person, in every community, at every price point. This page states the commitment plainly and tells you how to act if you ever see it violated, by anyone.

Our commitment

Sandy Margolin and Real Broker LLC provide equal professional service to every person regardless of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin, and comply with all applicable federal, state and local fair housing laws.

Fair housing is not a slogan here; it is how the business is run. Every client gets the same professional standard: honesty, evidence and protection of their interests.

What the law requires

The federal Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental and financing of dwellings based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin. Nevada law adds additional protected classes, and Clark County enforces its own fair housing provisions.

We market homes to all qualified buyers, provide services without regard to protected class, and refuse to steer buyers to or away from neighborhoods based on those characteristics.

55+ communities and the law

Housing for Older Persons communities, including the 55+ communities I specialize in, operate under specific exemptions in the Fair Housing Act, with occupancy rules defined by law and by each community's documents. I help buyers understand the rules of a specific community while applying the same fair housing standards to everyone.

If you experience discrimination

If you believe you have experienced housing discrimination, you can file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or the Nevada Equal Rights Commission. Contact information is available at HUD.gov.

You can also tell me directly. Fair housing is not a page on this site; it is the floor the entire practice stands on.
