Living in
Centennial Hills
Centennial Hills is an established family community in the far-northwest corner of the Las Vegas Valley, a little north of the 215 Beltway and open to the Spring Mountains. It is one of the peer communities of the larger Northwest Las Vegas area: its name is often used for the whole local corridor, but the surrounding communities are separate peers, each with its own guide.

Centennial Hills Overview
Centennial Hills is an established family community within the far-northwest corner of the Las Vegas Valley, roughly 15 to 20 miles northwest of the Strip. It is one community, not a master plan made of many, anchored around the corridor where U.S. 95, Durango Drive, Ann Road and Centennial Center Boulevard meet, a short drive from the 215 Beltway and open to the Spring Mountains.
Centennial Hills itself offers a mix of established housing from the 1990s and 2000s, with parks, a golf-friendly feel in places and the convenience of the local retail corridor. The large master plans around it, like Providence, Skye Canyon, Iron Mountain Ranch and Silverstone Ranch, are separate peer communities under the wider Northwest Las Vegas umbrella, each covered on its own page.
The lifestyle leans on open space, mountain views and outdoor recreation. Floyd Lamb Park, the Tule Springs Fossil Beds, Skye Canyon Park and the Spring Mountains are all within reach, and the higher elevation keeps summer evenings a little cooler than the valley floor. My typical Northwest buyer is a family or a 55+ homeowner looking for newer construction, more space and a quieter setting with easy freeway access.

Where is Centennial Hills in Las Vegas?
Centennial Hills is a named district within the City of Las Vegas occupying the far northwest corner of the valley, roughly 15 to 20 miles northwest of the Strip, within the wider Northwest Las Vegas area. It is anchored around the corridor where U.S. Highway 95, Durango Drive, Ann Road and Centennial Center Boulevard meet, a short drive from the 215 Beltway and open to the Spring Mountains.
Is Centennial Hills the hub of the other Northwest communities?
No. Centennial Hills itself is not one master plan, and it is not the parent of the other Northwest communities. It is an established family community within the wider Northwest Las Vegas area, which is the geographic umbrella for the whole region. The communities around Centennial Hills, like Providence, Skye Canyon, Iron Mountain Ranch, Silverstone Ranch, Los Prados, Painted Desert, Sunstone, are separate peer communities, each with its own guide. None is nested under Centennial Hills.
What communities are near Centennial Hills?
There is no single best community; the right one depends on your lifestyle and budget. Providence and Skye Canyon are the two large master plans near Centennial Hills, each with its own villages and amenity models. Iron Mountain Ranch and Silverstone Ranch are established family communities nearby, and Sunstone and Sky Hills are the newest builds. I help buyers compare them by lifestyle, not just floor plans.
What schools serve the Centennial Hills area?
The Clark County School District schools most commonly associated with the area include Arbor View High, Centennial High and Legacy High, with elementary and middle assignments varying by exact address. School boundaries change and are assigned by address, so verify current zoning with CCSD for a specific home.
How close is Centennial Hills to Mount Charleston?
The far northwest edge of Centennial Hills sits close to the Kyle Canyon and Lee Canyon roads that climb into the Spring Mountains, so Mount Charleston recreation is roughly 30 to 45 minutes from most of the district, a cooler escape in summer and a ski-and-bike destination in winter.
Is Centennial Hills a good place for 55+ buyers?
Yes. The area around Centennial Hills includes the 55+ and all-ages Los Prados golf community, the Trilogy Sunstone 55+ enclave within the Sunstone master plan, and other age-qualified options. I live in a 55+ community myself, so I compare these neighborhoods by amenities and lifestyle as well as floor plans.

Sandy Margolin, REALTOR and Certified AI Agent, with 36+ years in real estate and approximately 20 years of prior experience as a licensed residential real estate appraiser, with Real Broker LLC and Nevada Sales Person License S.72707.
The northwest is a fast-growing part of the valley, and it is easy to confuse one master plan with another. I help buyers compare communities by lifestyle, newer construction versus resale, and the evidence behind what a home is worth, and I help sellers understand what they would realistically walk away with.
