Relocation
Guides
Relocation is a life decision disguised as a house search. I have spent more than 36 years in Las Vegas real estate helping people move to the valley and helping Las Vegans plan their next city, and these guides compare the numbers, the taxes and the neighborhoods, not just the listings.
Moving is about the
lifestyle, not just the house
A big share of my practice is people in motion: buyers arriving from California and other states, and sellers leaving the valley for cities like Philadelphia. Because I came to this business through appraisal work, I compare moves by the evidence, cost of living, taxes, housing markets and what a sale realistically leaves you with, rather than by a brochure.
Moving to Las Vegas is usually a community decision disguised as a house hunt. Summerlin, Henderson, a 55+ community, a high-rise downtown: each one is a different life, and the guides below walk through the tradeoffs in plain English. Moving away is the mirror image: understanding what your Las Vegas home is worth, what you walk away with after selling, and how your new city compares before you commit.
- Arriving in Las Vegas: California-to-Vegas planning, community comparisons and the buy side of the move.
- Leaving Las Vegas: selling strategically, knowing your walk-away number and sizing up the new city by real numbers.
- Either direction: the same working rule. Educate first, sell second, never pressure.
