A romantic dinner in Las Vegas is usually a fountain view, a candlelit booth or a long tasting menu, and the best rooms combine at least two. These are the date-night tables I actually recommend.

The short list

Where to eat,
start to finish

The proposal-and-anniversary circuit runs through a short list of rooms that know how to make an evening feel like an event.

Tell them the occasion when you book. The great rooms remember, and the table gets the attention.

01

Le Cirque

The Bellagio classic: French elegance, circus whimsy and the sense that you are somewhere special.

02

Picasso

The art-walled room with fountain views: the complete statement table.

The revolving tower room: the whole city turning below, the classic 'ask the question' spot.

Eiffel Tower Restaurant

The Paris tower room with the fountain dead ahead.

Fountain-level Italian: the patio at dusk is the most requested date table in the city.

Sinatra

The Encore room: Rat Pack mood, music and old-school Italian romance.

The Rat Pack's own room: candlelit booths, tableside service and the charm that predates every tower on the Strip.

The proposal playbook

Top of the World at sunset, a fountain table at LAGO, or the quiet booth at Golden Steer: all three are proven rooms, and all three will cooperate with the plan if you loop in the team when you book.

The understated option is Golden Steer, where the low light and the history do the work without a view to compete with.

The anti-cliché date

If the fountain circuit feels played out, the Arts District and downtown deliver romance at street level: Esther's Kitchen's warm room, the patios at Honey Salt in Summerlin, or the wine-bar seats at 18Bin.

Romance is attention, and the city's small independent rooms know how to pour it on without the prix-fixe.

Moving to Las Vegas? The food is part of the decision.

When clients relocate, the dining scene is one of the best ways to feel out a neighborhood. I can point you to the restaurants that make each corner of the valley home.
